Air Safety Institute Intern

The Air Safety Institute (ASI), a division of the nonprofit AOPA Foundation, is the largest non-government provider of aviation safety education worldwide. The ASI internship is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable aviation safety work experience.

In addition to hourly pay, a generous stipend to cover the costs of moving, housing, and/or flight proficiency is provided.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the development of new safety education materials, including online courses, live safety seminars, and print publications
  • Assisting in the revision of existing safety education materials
  • Writing and editorial tasks related to safety education

Qualifications:

  • Private pilot certificate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (scale of 4.0)
  • Familiar with MS Office
  • Ability to research aviation topics online
  • Interest in aviation safety and the general aviation industry
  • Courteous and professional
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions
