Associate Project Manager

Summary

Under the guidance of the Director of Education, this person will aid in the project coordination, development, and management of Air Safety Institute programs and services, such as interactive online courses, quizzes, live safety seminars, webinars, video productions, and other projects as assigned while ensuring that ASI’s high standards for creativity, quality, and technical accuracy are met.

Duties

• Work directly with the ASI production team to manage the production of new ASI education programs and products such as online courses, safety seminars, safety quizzes, publications, videos, and more. Responsibilities also include:

  • Scheduling and facilitating meetings appropriate to the development of each product
  • Establishing milestones and keeping projects on schedule
  • Developing and maintaining project status reports to management
  • Selecting and gathering content-related photos and images
  • Arranging filming/photo shoots and assisting with video productions
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, other AOPA divisions, and external project stakeholders
  • Review/edit content for technical accuracy

• Create and maintain contracts, invoices, and track budget discrepancies. 

• Represent the Air Safety Institute/AOPA Foundation at aviation events (e.g., Sun ‘N Fun, Oshkosh, Regional Events)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, aviation-related major or minor a plus.

Proven track record of project coordination or project management experience.

Highly organized; efficient.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Creative skills; selection and/or creation of photo, illustration, video, and audio content.

Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work as a team player.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

FAA Private Pilot.
