Description

Eagle Air Flying Club is a not for profit social/recreational corporation in the state of Ohio. Founded in 2003 we are a group of pilots passionate about flying and introducing others to the thrill of flight. We have two airplanes a Piper Cherokee and a Piper Arrow, both are instrument flight capable airplanes. Approximately 50% of our club members have joined the club to learn to fly and continued their membership for the fellowship and cost savings with shared ownership such as our club. Located in NW Ohio by the great lakes, we are positioned well for primary flight instruction, with lots of open airspace right in our area and a short flight to complex airspace such as Detroit, Indianapolis, Dayton or Cleveland pilots get real world experience and confidence to fly anywhere in the world.
Flying clubs are an excellent option for new pilots as well as experienced, with shared ownership there is a certain pride our members take with the airplanes. Having an active social club centered around what we love, flying, there are a lot of benefits to membership besides the cost savings. Regular monthly meetings, safety seminars, fly-ins, parties and such offer members the opportunity to hang out and immerse themselves in all things flying. Destinations such as Put in Bay, Cedar Point, Makinaw Island and Grand St Marys lake are just a short flight from our home airport Wood County Regional Airport, and offer a full day of activity for the entire family. Non-members are welcome to attend the meetings and see what we are about, weather permitting it is not too difficult to convince someone to take you up for a quick hop and see what flying is all about, give us a call or check out our website for details, www.eagleairflyingclub.com.

I joined Eagle Air to obtain my PPL several years ago and was very pleased. The aircraft availability was good, maintenance is excellent, they helped me get an instructor that was fantastic. All in all, very pleased a flyng club like Eagle Air is a very cost effective way to fly in today's environment. I'd love to own my own airplane, but the club is my best alternative right now.
