The Silver City Flying Club is an excellent club. I believe it has been in continuous operation since the late 1940's. I joined in the late 1980's. The club has two well maintained IFR aircraft. One aircraft is at 4B8, the other is at MMK. They are rotated between the airports on a regular basis. The club is run the traditional president, VP, treasurer, as well as a maintenance and safety officer. The club is financially sound and keeps up with maintenance and improvements. Each member is an equity share holder in the two aircraft. Reservations are performed through Schedulemaster on the web which is very simple. The $60 monthly dues cover fixed expenses. The wet hourly rate covers hourly expenses and maintenance reserve. Flight hours are via tach time not Hobbs so there is a 10% or so savings right there. There is a quarterly minimum flight time of two hours. This is the most affordable flying I know of. It enabled me to build time and experience to the point I just completed my own homebuilt airplane.
