Club Facilities

Why I'm interested in starting a club:
Our local airport 6S8 is a fine airport with a lot of great attributes. we have great runways, decent fuel prices and close proximity to a large towered airport KBIL. I currently am the sole owner of a Cherokee 235 and am very aware of the costs associated with learning to fly as well as owning and maintaining an airplane. I have discussed the issue with people who were involved with a very popular and successful club in three forks montana and discovered it was a great way to involve the community and local schools in aviation. I feel the only way general aviation will grow is if the people currently involved can figure out how to expose new people and make it an affordable hobby.

    Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
Currently lease a new hangar however different arrangements may need to be arranged depending on popularity and membership.

Progress made towards starting the club:
Discussions with a cfi and a&p mechanics who have also been generating interest.
