Club Facilities

Description

Skypark Aero Club exists to provide flying opportunities at the lowest cost through cooperative ownership, and to promote pilot competence and safety through ongoing education of the members. The Club owns two airplanes, both based at the Piqua Ohio airport (I17): • Our Piper Cherokee model PA-28-181 is equipped for instrument flight, it has dual nav/com radios, glide slope, DME, panel-mounted GPS, transponder, ADF, audio panel, and 4-place intercom. Hourly cost is $100. • Our Piper Tripacer model PA-22-160 has a nav/com radio, GPS, transponder, and a 4-place intercom. Hourly cost is $75. Club members reserve the airplanes on a first-come, first served basis. The hourly rates include all operating costs (fuel, oil, maintenance). Members also pay an equal share of monthly costs for fixed expenses (hangar rent, insurance, annual inspection). There is a $500 deposit for insurance deductible (refunded should you ever want to leave the club) and a $25 initiation fee. Monthly meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Call one of the officers below to check the location. Guests are always welcome.
