    Description

Why I'm interested in starting a club:
My POH for the flying club would have a index that consisted of the following sections: 1. Doing the right thing each and every time - no exceptions. 2. Extending pilot courtesy to all members. 3. Setting expectations. 4. Handling the money. 5. Scheduling the aircraft 6. Rules for playing well together. 7. Sharing member concerns. 8. Identifying areas of improvement. 9. What is expected of the members.

I am very humbled and fortunate to own and fly a TR182 1979 Cessna which is IFR certified. I want to give back to the flying community. I believe that if I provide a cost effective way to have other pilots continue the experience of flying a high performance, complex aircraft with an amazing IFR platform (530W, 430W, Stec 50, GPSS) pilots can increase their skills and maintain currency for their ratings. Also, continued exposure to this type of aircraft should increase the desire for additional purchasing of high performance, complex aircraft. It seems like such a win-win proposal to me.

I personally am very detailed and process oriented and would look forward to applying my skills to work with those folks who would mentor me on forming a flying club. I anticipate hard work resulting in a great opportunity for those that join in.

    Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
I have a hanger at KAUN for the TR182. There is an FBO on site and a great restaurant. Mechanics are also on site.

Progress made towards starting the club:
Aircraft is available, four members already identified, have the appropriate ratings and are interested, KAUN has been selected (KLHM is an alternate as well).
