Club Facilities

    Description

Why I'm interested in starting a club:
To help grow the current and next generation of pilots. I love how the Young Eagles and Project Pilot programs (along with many others) have tried to do a nation-wide approach to the dwindling number of pilots. Having a local "grass-roots" flying club allows the national message to be implemented locally.

    Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
Currently have a building (with facilities) and hangar agreement with City.

Progress made towards starting the club:
    1. Discussed with the University of Colorado - Boulder Flying Club student government.
    2. Have current facilities.
    3. Either have a current aircraft or could acquire an aircraft that more fits the needs of the club (2013 is an aircraft buyer market).
    4. Have not done market research to know what the financial picture needs to look like to allow a mutually-beneficial club; own vs. leaseback, upfront buy-in amount, monthly dues, hourly rate, insurance limitations, etc.
