Club in Formation - (KLOZ)
With so many pilots not being able to afford to fly after they get started they just fall to the side. I started in 1982 and at the age of 62 will just earned my certificate in the next few weeks. We are just a small town with several small towns around us. I feel a club is the only way to get pilots back in to flying that and new ones that so we all can share the cost and the experience of flying.
Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
We have several older and new hangars, a restaurant, good facilities.
Progress made towards starting the club:
The choice is our home airport with I have talk to the manger who is for working with us. I have read alot and with aopa putting out good information has helped alot. Getting the aircraft is the hard part since most of us cant afford one by ourself and the bank wont loan us the money until we can show some history. I plan to hold a meeting to inform people of my intent and to see how many are willing to be involved.
