Our not for profit corporation, the San Diego Flight Corporation, dba San Diego Flight Club, is a San Diego, California-based flying club that has been in operation for more than fifty years. We are member-owned club with just over 15 members at present, with two sophisticated, complex aircraft (a Bonanza
A36 and a Cessna C210). Our base of operations is Montgomery Field, San Diego, California (KMYF). All of our member/owners must be instrument rated and must be approved for membership and ownership in the organization. We operate through an executive committee and officers who are elected by the shareholder/members. We are all volunteers and everyone contributes to the success of our operations.

We are NOT a rental club, and our planes are not available to the general public. We have strict minimum hour and type qualification requirements to join, and require annual recurrency training and testing. We are, therefore, not a "club" for everybody, but we are a great alternative to private direct ownership of an aircraft. (Many of us in the club own or have owned aircraft directly.) Our current members include engineers, airline pilots, doctors, lawyers and other professionals.
We welcome the opportunity to add new member/shareholders, if they fit our selective ownership criteria and are approved by the membership to join. We try to maintain a ratio of between 8 and 10 active member/owners per aircraft. If we add more members, we are likely to increase our fleet accordingly, subject to then current budget and financial resources and a vote of the member/owners.
