Club in Formation - (KORK)
N Little Rock, AR 72120
We are a group of pilots or soon to be pilots that work for Dassault Falcon based in Little Rock, AR. Dassault Falcon engineers business jets, consequently the interest of our Company is to promote private aviation. Dassault Falcon is proposing to help its employees in the funding of a flying club, but unfortunately cannot be fully involved in the flying club project for liability reasons. A flying club would be a great experience for Falconers as it would be a way to share experience and passion of flying.
Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
It depends on the relationship with LIT (Adam's field) or ORK FBOs. Operating costs will be cheaper if the club is based in ORK. But, as Falcon Jet facilities are located at Adams field, it may be more interesting for the employees to have the club based in LIT. To be discussed and confirmed.
Progress made towards starting club:
Today, we have a list of persons that would be wiling to be part of the club.
That list was a way to understand the level of involvment of other members as well as their ratings. There is a mix of private, commercial pilots and maybe CFI/Is. Also, we are a core of people motivated to be actively involved in funding the club. As far as the A/c, the general agreement is to buy a PA-28 as our headquarter's club is operating one (for duplicating operating costs figures). Also, this A/c will be versatile to initiate training but also traveling if IFR equipped.
