Club Facilities

Why I'm interested in starting a club:
As a new private pilot (December 2012) a local club that would allow for more economical flying would be ideal. Additionally the access to other pilots and hopefully CFIs to help continue the learning process would be ideal. Even if a pilot isn't ready to start on a new rating it's nice to have a CFI available to help work on things like flying in wind, stall awareness etc. There are several clubs in the general area (KRDG, KABE, KDYL) but all of them are far enough away from KPTW to make it impractical to join and fly regularly.

    Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
There are numerous hangers for rent that can be used as clubhouses as well as a well equipped pilots lounge and other facilities in the main building that may become available.

Progress made towards starting the club:
I have not made any progress as the idea was only in the back of my mind until i saw your scholarship opportunity.
