Description

Why I'm interested in starting a club:
To help train veterans to learn to fly at a low cost at the YNG Airport, Vienna, OH 44473. I (Bob Willaims, CFI & ATP) propose to donate all my time to training Veterans who join this flying club. However, for non-veterans, you only need a minimum of 20 hours dual from a CFI at a typical cost of $35 per hour, or $700 total for flight instruction.

Description of the hangar/clubhouse facilities:
One of 42 new in the process of completion modern T-Hangars complex at The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, Vienna, OH located half way between PIT & CLE (see wwwYNGAirport.com) with room for small clubhouse and training space at the airport's FBO, Winner Aviation Corps, (see www.winner-aviation.corp) where I am an employee as pilot and flight department coordinator.

Progress made towards starting the club:
In process of obtaining 1967 Piper Cherokee 140 (150 HP) and have established a Facebook Group. In the meantime, we are gathering momentum and members' interest, but need an aircraft. I own the ATC-610 simulator aka Flight Training Device, which is approved for 2.5 hrs hood time for Private, 20 hrs toward IFR and 50 hrs toward commercial.
