Description

The Everglades Soaring Club is a member owned organization dedicated to soaring with the purpose of allowing it's members to fly as much as possible. The club formed in early 2008 and is based at Immokalee Regional Airport. Membership is open to licensed glider pilots and glider students. Equity membership costs $1500 to join and $30 a month in dues. There are no hourly costs to fly the planes. All scheduling is handled online through Schedule Master and aero tows are provided by High Soaring, the commercial glider operation based on the field. The club's fleet consists of a 1973 L-13 Blanik (aka The Silver Bullet) and a nicely refinished Schweizer 1–26B (aka Tweety).
