In 2004, Brian Binnie was at the controls of SpaceShipOne on its second flight to space within a week to win the $10 million Ansari X Prize. About 25 years earlier he learned to fly in gliders with the Soaring Tigers flying club while a student at Princeton University. Today the Soaring Tigers continue to focus on flight training and provide one of the lowest cost points of entry into aviation. Club President David Hunter and Board Member Marty Schneiderman share their experience in this month’s Club Spotlight.
