April 11, 2002
Tuesday, November 5, is Election Day across the United States, with the entire U.S. House of Representatives, a third of the U.S. Senate, and numerous governors' mansions up for grabs. AOPA strongly encourages everyone, member and non-member alike, to go to the polls tomorrow and cast a vote.
AOPA has assembled an analysis of members of Congress who have taken positions supporting general aviation. The association understands that selecting a candidate to vote for is a complex process based on a number of factors. The analysis is offered as a resource for those voters who factor in GA issues when deciding how to vote. It outlines positions taken by a number of congressional candidates on matters related to general aviation.
Regardless of your party affiliation, regardless of your stance on general aviation, AOPA urges each American to fulfill your obligation, take part in the democracy, make your voice heard, and vote on Election Day.
