Vector Airport Solutions, the company that was part of the recent failed attempt to impose landing fees at AOPA's home airport (Frederick Municipal), is at it again. This time it's Easton/Newnam Field on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The company was scheduled to have its "revenue generation system," which automatically photographs aircraft N numbers, operational this week to generate an accurate count of aircraft operations and potentially lead to landing fees. AOPA Vice President of Airports Bill Dunn has spoken with airport management expressing AOPA's strong opposition to the system. The association has pointed out privacy issues with the concept that includes photographing aircraft. Tenants need to be included in any process that would impose landing fees or any other changes in rates and charges. A tenant meeting is set for July 25.
