What are the flight schools at PDK? Is there a GPS approach at Cleburne Municipal? If I fly into KAKH, will I be able to get a cab into town? I’m meeting a friend for Saturday lunch--where should we meet where there’s an airport restaurant?
Many pilots have come to rely on the information provided by AOPA Airports for their flight planning. Order now for delivery in late December 2010. The cost of the printed directory is $19.95 for AOPA members and $39.95 for non-members. This printed version will have the most up-to-date information available at the time of printing, and you will still have the option of checking for updates online.

The Flying Physicians Association (FPA) has become the latest group to lend support to third-class medical reform and urge government officials to speed up their review of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM). The NPRM would expand the number of pilots who could fly without needing to obtain a third-class medical certificate, a standard that has been successfully used by sport pilots for a decade.
California pilot Christopher Braun has created a revamped version of the cleco plier that is said to be lighter and more ergonomic.
There is no shortage of pilots in eastern Washington, but there does seem to be a scarcity of clubs in that part of the country.
