Hilton Software has released version 2.0 of AOPA Airports for BlackBerry phones. This upgrade features a significant addition to the application—DUATS VFR filing capability. DUATS filing is a convenient enhancement that allows users to store and retrieve flight plans for quick and easy repeat filing at a later date.
“AOPA and Hilton Software share a goal to improve aviation safety. We are therefore pleased to add DUATS VFR filing capability to AOPA Airports 2.0 for AOPA members,” said Hilton Goldstein, CEO of Hilton Software. Hilton Software’s WingX products are available on Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android phones.
Other noteworthy upgrades to AOPA Airports 2.0 include more detailed runway information, plus the addition of information on runway lighting, visual glidescope lighting, glidescope angle, and runway surface type and condition. A comprehensive list of AOPA contact telephone numbers is also featured in AOPA Airports 2.0. Download the latest version of AOPA Airports for BlackBerry phones AOPA Online.
