Each year, the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation recognizes a select group of deserving aviation nonprofit organizations with a grant of not less than $10,000. The finalists are selected from nominations by members of the aviation community. The selection of the top five charities to receive grants is done by the aviation community through voting at Lightspeed Aviation Kiosks at participating airshows or voting online at www.LightspeedAviationFoundation.org. Members of the aviation community are allowed one vote each. The Lightspeed Foundation grants will be announced and awarded at AOPA Aviation Summit, Sept. 22 through 24 in Hartford, Conn.
