Flight training management program debuts at WAI

March 12, 2012

MyFlightTrain, a flight training management package, was unveiled at the twenty-third annual Women in Aviation International conference in Dallas. Developed by Flying Software Labs, the system features paperless tracking for Part 61 and 141 schools as well as billing, scheduling, flight logs, and training logs.

The Web-based system supports features such as curriculum entry and tracking, lesson grading and testing, pilot and instructor profiles, and aircraft with maintenance tracking. It can support small- and medium-sized flight schools as well as university flight departments.

Android and iOS apps are planned for release later in the year.

MyFlightTrack, a new social network for pilots also developed by Flying Software Labs, was released in beta in conjunction with MyFlightTrain. The site features an online logbook; “hangars”—groups of users who have a common interest; and discussion topics. Users also can upload their own photos, videos, and podcasts. Visitors to the site are invited to register and provide input on new features.
