When it comes to keeping track of maintenance, costs, and upgrades, owning an aircraft can be a drag. Flight and Aircraft Tracking is attempting to make life a little easier with its new program called Fast-Flight.
Fast-Flight is a robust Web-based aircraft tracking service. Through a simple and easy-to-understand interface, users can track airworthiness directives, service bulletins, maintenance intervals, aircraft discrepancies, maintenance and service history, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. Each part or component can be entered with information about when and where it was purchased, how much was paid, how many hours are on it, when service is due, and more.
When the program first opens, the user enters the current number of aircraft hours, which is then used to check for necessary maintenance, including everything from routine oil changes to component inspections. If something is due, an alert pops up, making it obvious the owner must take action.
The program currently doesn’t send a push email notification when something is due, but a company representative said that would come in the future. Fast-Flight works on any browser, including those on tablets and smartphones.
Each user can enter as many airplanes as he or she wants for the $100 start-up fee and $19.99 monthly fee, making it a solution worth checking out for flight schools, flying clubs, and others.
