Aircraft owners should know by now that the FAA has largely done away with aircraft registration certificates that have no expiration date on their face. Registration certificates will now expire three years after issuance. This should prompt a change in our pre-flight inspection procedures to ensure compliance with the law on each and every flight.

Well-known aviation writer Mike Busch’s “Manifesto” is to be the first of a maintenance series.
As part of AOPA’s “Reimagined Aircraft” effort to open the door to flying and aircraft ownership for more people by refurbishing older aircraft and putting them in a flying club or partnership, the association is offering financing and insurance options.
AOPA President Mark Baker reiterated his position that the FAA must respond to the association’s request for action on the long-dormant third class medical reform petition.
