AOPA launches redesigned website

Frederick, MD – The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has launched an updated version of its popular website, AOPA.org, featuring an easier-to-use design and interaction format for the association’s nearly 400,000 members.

The redesigned website features quick links to AOPA’s popular flight planning and weather tools, a dedicated news page and an advocacy alert section to keep readers informed of the association’s efforts to protect the freedom to fly on the local, state and federal levels.

The website also highlights the AOPA Foundation Air Safety Institute’s popular online courses, quizzes, and informational webinars and webcasts.

“AOPA members tell us the website is an important member benefit,” said Michelle Peterson, AOPA vice president of membership. “We took a close look at how our members use the site and redesigned it to make it easier for them to quickly get the information they need.”

Members may also use the new website to enroll in programs to help finance and insure aircraft, seek medical or legal assistance, purchase products and even print a new certificate for completed AOPA online safety courses.

While some features of the AOPA.org website are available publicly, members enjoy access to the site’s most popular features, including AOPA’s FlyQ Web flight planning and weather data tools.
