PC-12 gets Aspen Connected Panel

Pilatus, Aspen Avionics, Honeywell, and Jeppesen have worked together to integrate Aspen’s Connected Panel into the Pilatus PC-12 NG. The PC-12 NG equipped with the Connected Panel is scheduled for delivery this summer.

Aspen’s Connected Panel works with the Honeywell Primus Apex avionic suite installed in the PC-12 NG (an Aspen display is not needed), offering a wireless connection between the panel-mount avionics and Connected Panel enabled apps. The Pilatus PC-12 NG type certificate covers installation of the Connected Gateway box CG100P to link the systems.

Each of the four companies is developing apps to accompany the system that will provide operational and passenger support.

“Connected for Pilatus creates a better flight experience for pilots and owners by streamlining maintenance logging and data loading activities,” Aspen Vice President of Marketing Brad Hayden said in a press release

“The sheer volume of data flowing in and out of the cockpit is increasing exponentially, and as a result, the need for efficient data management solutions is more critical [than] ever,” said Tom Aniello, Pilatus Business Aircraft vice president of marketing. “Connected for Pilatus guarantees that we will have an open, scalable platform that can be leveraged to seamlessly load, synchronize, and manage that data stream for our customers."
