For the first time in its 75-year history, AOPA will meet its members where they fly and share the joy of flight at a series of one-day regional fly-ins. Throughout 2014, these fly-in events will be held at six of our nation’s friendliest airports.
AOPA Fly-Ins will have something for everyone. Spend a Saturday with AOPA participating in aviation activities, exploring exhibits and seminars, enjoying a couple of meals, and building relationships. With free admissionfor members, these fly-ins willfeature activities designed to bring you and your association together around our common love of flying.
From Massachusetts to Georgia, Indiana to Texas, California to Washington, experience a great day of celebrating aviation together with AOPA. Bring your family along and make a weekend of enjoying the rich surroundings of great GA airports and their local communities.
AOPA is also bringing back its fly-in to Frederick, Maryland. On October 4, 2013, fly in or drive in to the Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK) and AOPA headquarters for “AOPA Homecoming.” This homecoming will be extra special as we celebrate AOPA’s 75th anniversary. Members are invited to come “home” and take part in a great party to celebrate 75 years of preserving and advancing general aviation.
Look for AOPA at other great aviation events held all over the United States—from major airshows and fly-ins, such as Sun ’n Fun and EAA AirVenture, to important regional gatherings such as the Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering and the Montana Aviation Conference.

AOPA is testing whether aircraft ownership can be more affordable than many people believe with the development of “Reimagined Aircraft.”
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) wants to open new doors to aviation by exploring the concept that aircraft ownership can be made more accessible and affordable through the development of “Reimagined Aircraft,” the Association announced Friday.
Dynon Avionics, the pioneering company that provides fully featured glass cockpits for light sport and experimental aircraft at half the cost of fully certified displays, adds more sophistication with video input, upgraded weather, and wide-angle synthetic vision.
