The Cascade Range of central Oregon provides a dramatic backdrop for the Epic LT, a sleek 1,200-horsepower turboprop made in nearby Bend. Epic Aircraft is seeking FAA certification for its design, which is currently sold as a kit. This photo was taken on a summer evening near Mount Jefferson in the Cascade Range.

AOPA expressed concern in a meeting with town officials from East Hampton, New York, that restrictions proposed to curb airport noise “overwhelmingly” generated by transient commercial flights would unfairly burden traditional airport users.
