Broadband Internet, TV offered

In-flight entertainment and communications can be yours under an agreement between Astronics AeroSat and Panasonic Avionics. The partnership links the tail-mounted satellite communications system of Astronics with the Internet services of Panasonic, including four channels of global television and regional television stations.

“With Panasonic and Astronics AeroSat working together, we will provide dedicated bandwidth, higher speeds, unmatched television content and far superior system performance than any other solution offered today,” said David Bruner, vice president of Panasonic’s global communications services.

Astronics AeroSat President Dennis Ferguson said there will be an “upgrade path for existing data-only and TV-only aircraft operators that delivers broadband data Internet and TV in a single antenna system.”

Both companies will be showcasing their technology and solutions at the National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition Nov. 17 through 19 in Las Vegas. Visit Astronics AeroSat at booth C8543 and Panasonic Avionics at booth C13146.
