Last month, many flying club members made the journey to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for EAA’s AirVenture. AOPA’s Flying Club Manager Kelby Ferwerda was one of those pilots who flew up the Chicago coastline to rock his wings over Fisk en route to a week of camping under the wing of his Cessna 182 in the North 40. Amidst all the aerial demonstrations, new technology and cool gadgets vendors had for sale, it was the little things that made this year memorable – the weather, the sites and sounds, and most of all the flying club members that participated in AOPA’s events.
