AOPA Accident Forgiveness

AOPA Accident Forgiveness and Deductible Waiver Enhancement

Several years ago, the AOPA Insurance Agency, Chartis Aerospace, and AOPA joined the Air Safety Institute initiative aimed at improving pilot safety consciousness while helping to lower a pilot's out-of-pocket expenses in the event of an accident. The United States Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG), Phoenix Aviation Managers, Global Aerospace, Starr Aviation, U.S. Specialty Insurance Company, and QBE Aviation have also adapted the program to select policies available to their clients. Through this collaboration, these five carriers offer accident forgiveness and deductible reward programs to support their client pilots' participation in the Air Safety Institute program.

Why Participate?

Free, easy, and worth every minute of your time, Air Safety Institute online courses and live safety seminars are the best way for busy pilots to stay on the top of their game. And, the Air Safety Institute’s Online and In-Person Flight Instructor Refresher Clinics also qualify. Now there's another great advantage for safety-minded pilots—the AOPA Accident Forgiveness and Deductible Waiver Enhancement.

"I don't plan on ever having an accident, but it's nice to know that if the unthinkable happens, the ASF online courses I've been taking for years could save me a whole lot of money."
