Types of Color Vision Tests

The process for removing a color vision restriction is explained on the FAA Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners but there are some important points to know before you start the process. Read the information carefully in Section D, Specialized Operational Medical Tests for Applicants Who Do Not Meet the Standard as the testing procedures are based upon the class of medical applied for.  Third class applicants will require a different process than first and second class applicants.
