Job Summary:

Performs a variety of administrative duties, such as mail pick-up and delivery, scanning, and indexing paperwork, recording payment information, maintaining paperless file records, distributing mail and other similar duties, in addition, this position will answer routine inquiries from co-workers, and perform other computer based support tasks.  Provide administrative support to other departments. 

Job Responsibilities:

Pick up and deliver the mail to and from the post office and/or AOPA Office Services mailroom
Records, date stamps and distributes all incoming mail
Scans all relevant paperwork, index and commit to the proper customer’s paperless file
Sort carrier applications and paperwork and deliver them via email or regular mail in a timely manner
Distribute incoming faxes
Input money mail notes in InsureVue
Proofread and send policies to customers
Operates postage meters and scales
Prepares packages and mail for outgoing delivery
Provide relief support to reception in answering telephones when needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Team orientated
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Two to three years of work experience in a customer service oriented environment
  • Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to changing priorities in a multi-tasking environment
  • Must have good communications skills including both verbal and written
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, bend and lift-up to 35 lbs. 
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as (postal equipment, scanners, copiers)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.  Data entry skills.
