Coordinator, High School Aviation InitiativeCoordinator, High School Aviation Initiative

Summary

The High School Aviation Initiative Coordinator is responsible for providing program support and assists with the management of AOPA's high school initiative.  The coordinator must be able to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including AOPA staff, AOPA members, and educators. 

Duties

  • Coordinate logistics for high school related events such as teacher professional development workshops, conferences, and the symposium.  
  • Prepare outreach materials for AOPA members.
  • Communicate with interested stakeholders as assigned.
  • Manage the High School Flight Training scholarship program.
  • Perform other duties as required. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, education, or related fields.  
  • Two – three years of related professional experience.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and including Office 365.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking and detail orientation necessary. 
  • Proficient in project and time management.
  • Basic database skills or demonstrated ability to learn the skill.
  • An understanding or interest in general aviation.
