The "Additional Remarks" on this page appear to omit two very important items that currently appear within the "Airport Remarks" information for Sonoma Valley Airport in the FAA's Airport Facility Directory. 1. Rwy 07-25 NO TOUCH AND GO LDG, OR TRAINING OPS. 2. Rwy 17-35 is restricted and Prior Permission is Required from the airport owner before it can be used for landing or departure. AOPA should update the information on this site to properly reflect the information in the FAA Airport Facility Directory. The grass surface alongside runway 7-25 cannot be used for landing or takeoff without permission of the owner. This surface does not drain well in the winter. Areas of standing water and mud can be hidden by the grass. While this airport is open to the public, it is private property and does not receive any federal funds to assist in improvements or upkeep of the airport infrastructure. The owner of the property reserves the right to deny use of the airport to anyone, at any time, for any reason. It should also be mentioned that many no-radio "antique" aircraft operate out of this airport. Just because you don't hear anyone on the CTAF doesn't mean there are no aircraft arriving or departing the airport.
