VERY GREAT SMALL AIRFIELD, BUT BE CAREFUL BECAUSE AS BERG319K9 SAID, IT IS PRETTY CHALLENGING LITTLE STRIP. TREES AT THE END OF 16 BUILDINGS AND HILL AT THE END OF THE 36. OTHERWISE VERY NICE APPROACH INTO IT.

Bulverde Airport just upgraded their fueling capability to the use of credit cards instead of the old key system that needed someone to be at the airport to allow refueling by visiting pilots. This change happened about a month ago. I live near the airport and now rent a Piper from Anderson Aviation from there when I fly. The new card system allows self service -- great improvement.

Great little airfield, I've worked on all my flight training here with Anderson Aviation. They are the best! Good Cherokees for rent too. Tom Sr., Tom Jr., Dana, and Jaime are just the greatest and make learning to fly the best experience out there for fixed wing students. Jaime is the Chief Flight Instructor and is really devoted and dedicated to teaching and keeping their program effective, and efficient. With such great instructors like Jaime, Dale and Mark; Bulverde is a wonderful field to learn to fly at. One note of caution with only a 40 foot wide runway you really gotta be on that center line. Mind the trees on the approach to 34 and the power line as you make your approach to 16. You'll see the Bulverde Fire Department to the left of your approach to 16. The power line is just south of it marked with orange power line identifiers on the wire itself. There are red lights on the poles to mark it at night time.
