Okay, I use this airport a lot. Why not, with good fuel prices and Pittsburgh Approach (which appears to have captured the best controllers from across the nation) providing ATC support, I have never been disappointed. I want to give you an example of the conscious service that the 2G2 team gave me during the horrible national weather last week (record number of tornadoes, high winds, hail etc.). With the majority of the weather still homing in on the airport, I had requested extra strength tie downs, over their frequency. Jason Whanger (duty manager) radioed he had it covered. As I taxied to the self-Service pump, he along with his team (Tom Cucarese - Ops Supervisor & Chris Van Dyke - Fuel Technician) went into an evolution that would have made a NASCAR pit crew envious. They filled the aircraft, before the rains returned, and confirmed the anticipated high winds and hail. Here is where they really stepped up to the plate, they had made room for the airplane, in a hanger and were hooking the tow bar onto their Gator, so I would not add to my Hobbs time getting to the far end of the hangers. The hanger and towing was totally gratis. Now you know why I keep stopping here and if you don't, you could find yourself wishing you had.
