This was my first visit to Pensacola and I picked this airport for the fuel price. Since this is under the NAS class C, pattern altitude is 500'. Fuel is self serve and the FBO people were very friendly and helped me plan my route down to Key West using the Eglin East-West corridor through restricted and MOA space. I can't say enough about Pensacola and Eglen air traffic controllers in this area in helping VFR pilots get through a complicated airspace.

Excellent XC a/p for P'cola area. Fuel is $1.50/gal less than Regional. FBO helped arrange a rental car to waiting for me. BEWARE for night landings: paved strip is at extreme eastern edge of rwy lights. If you land "on cntr line" referencing edge lights @ night, your east wheel will be on asphalt, your west wheel will be on grass strip - plan a low pass prior to landing @ night if you are unfamiliar. Not unsafe place at all - just know what to expect @ night.
