Free donuts & coffee every Sat AM in the summer when Jim & Darlene are "home" (they go to Mexico for the winter). After Jim turned the fuel pump on he returned to the "terminal" saying, "Most pilots like to fuel their own plane . . . so that's the way we do it." That's the way we did it. Although there was a good gathering of pilots that Sat AM and would love to have visited, we had to get going in order to cross the pass on way to Santa Fe. My son noted, "I bet this is the kind of airport you'd like to be at." (Don't know if I was smiling before or after his comment.)

Had to pick up another pilot there who could not get into Centennial Airport with his Cessna 140. Met Darlene and Jim. Very nice folks there. Fuel there was $4.30/gl. 6/28/10. Lowest in the area. Darlene is a flight instructor there. Fascinating lady !
