The almost $3.00 per gallon difference in fuel costs is causing me to go to Georgetown Aero Centex. They are very accommodating and have a very nice facility. The also arrange for a rent car as well. I started flying into Mueller Airport many years ago, but I am headed for Georgtown.

I was warmly greeted at Atlantic with a ride to the terminal and many, many smiles. Stayed three days and with minimal gas the tie-down fee was waived. Anytime in the Austin area this is a beautiful and GA friendly FBO, even with a single engine piston.

I am a student based at GTU working on my PPL. Flew here on a busy Saturday in an Archer. Very busy! I was vectored around the city for a while. Approach finally snuck me in behind a Citation. While on final the tower controller told me to keep my speed up and I was already pushing 130 knots! We had requested touch and go but we had to go full-stop. Ended up waiting about 10-15 mins for clearance delivery while holding short of 17L.. Overall it was a great experience for me, especially as a student.
