Planned my first solo x-country and decided to stop briefly at Landmark. Everyone there was friendly and the facility was very nice. I was on the ground for 10 minutes and when I went to leave the lady said that there would be a $25 landing fee or I had to buy fuel. I complained that this fee was not advertised on their website and my CFI told me that he has never paid a fee here before. She then said that they do not charge on the weekends, and if her boss was not there then it could have been waived. I bought some gas and advised them that I would take my business elsewhere until they come up with a better policy on charging a fee.

I've landed at KGSO 5 times in the past year. I never had to pay any landing/parking or transient fee. I clear customs at Landmark. Very nice people, both customs and Landmark FBO. The airport is undergoing a lot of taxi and runway work. So CHECK NOTAMs. Last time, only 5R was opened. The only real negative is the fuel price (6.30ish). Just a few miles to the west, KINT is 70c/gal cheaper at the self serve (5.62ish). On my way back from the south, I tried KINT. Much cheaper, self serve went very well. It's a busy A/P though and TWR was stuck doing clearance, GND and TWR work. Next time, I'll try clearing customs at KINT, I can't afford 70c on a gallon.

I fly in to Landmark several times a year doing Angel Flight missions and they people at Landmark go out of their way to assist and be helpful. The staff and ramp personel are all exceptional. My hats off to them!!
