Flew down from CHS for lunch. Beautiful airport and very friendly staff! Quickly had us in the courtesy car so we could grab a bit to eat, recommended Nana's for lunch but found out the only day the are closed is Saturday. We found a nice country restaurant though. Great place to stop.

Stopped on my way back from Sun N Fun, winds were bad and with their three runways it offered the safest choice to avoid a large cross wind landing at my single runway original destination. What a lucky choice, I can't add anymore to the posted comments except to echo their reviews, spent the night, they loaned us the van, and the Hampton Inn was reasonable.

Stopped in because of weather between Marsh Harbour Bahamas and Indiana. Airport is kept in great shape, but nothing compares to the Hospitality. Bill and Steve seem to enjoy helping pilots feel "at home". We would recommend stopping in and seeing southern hospitality at it's best.

Landed at AYS due to weather on 10/25/10. This is still the friendliest airport in South Georgia and probably in the entire state - a real "old-time" small town field. Steve and Bill really made us feel at home and went the extra mile despite a pitifully small fuel purchase. The crew van was really appreciated. Spent the night at the Hampton Inn but there are several other major chain motels nearby and good restaurants. Will definitely go back there.

We stopped in on Saturday and found out the restaurant was closed. The FBO was great and very and had popcorn. 100ll was $4.10 a gallon. They gave us the courtesy car and we went into town to Pork and Bones BBQ restaurant. The food is great.. You gotta order the fried squash. Steve was a lot of help and we'll be back soon..

2WH Can't say enough positives about this airport. Had to land because of a rough running engine. Bill got me hooked up with an A&P that fixed my problem. Very friendly. Made you feel welcome. If you are looking for a place to fly, put this one on your list.
