Veracity Aviation has moved from New Braunfels Airport to nearby Huber (E70). The City is pushing very hard to drive out competition. A consequence of New Braunfels Aero Services' battle with the City is that New Braunfels Aero cannot currently sell gas, But the City's truck can still come from the City Terminal to deliver to aircraft parked at New Braunfels Aero. Loss of fuel sales has forced New Braunfels Aero to close their restaurant which was supported by their fuel sales. After discussing the situation with a very friendly New Braunfels Aero employee whose hours have been cut back due to the situation, I am still going to park at New Braunfels Aero next week when I fly in and plan to have enough fuel on board that I will not need to buy fuel and support the City.

Some things have changed at the airport so you might call before planning any trips. Veracity Aviation has changed their phone to 830 379 0000 and they now sell Avgas currently at $4.75 per gal.

Just got back from an annual trip to New Braunfels in my Cessna 182. Due to a political dispute with the city over fuel, the competitive FBO (New Braunfels Aero) currently does NOT have fuel available, but I think that the plan is to have this resolved soon. We were still able to get fuel from the City Terminal (FS), but at a MUCH higher price. Attitude Gyro went out on the flight down, and I also had some AP issues, but John at Crystal Avionics could have not been more accommodating and fair in getting these resolved before I left. Nice experience.

Please by-pass this airport until the city stops harassing NB Aero Service; they are trying to force them out of business rather than renew their long term lease (as they have been ordered to by the courts, but refuse to comply) in an effort to monopolize the hanger rental and fuel sales.
