I took my Bonanza to American Aviation for a new interior and an annual inspection. All the staff I encountered were friendly and seemed very skilled. But management is undeserving of the quality staff they have. Wendall Stephens used deception to capture and hold my business. He proposed a completion date (6 working weeks) he knew he could not keep. (He did not have the available shop time) After 11 weeks only the 4 seats were completed along with the annual. The invoice had several questionable items. Be prepared to pay $9.42 for a quart of Philips XC. High prices on all filters. A $2150 fee for the annual yet still had to pay a separate fee to inspect the ELT, Ignition Switch, and aircraft battery. I was charged $810 for an oil cooler I later found the same part # for $275. I was charged $26.80 in expedited freight for 2 O rings for the oil cooler. I asked why I had to pay expedited shipping when they had the airplane for 11 weeks? No good answer. Since I picked up the aircraft with the interior unfinished, I was told I had to pay for the materials purchased to complete the installation, carpet, sidewalls , and headliner. I said OK, I'll take the materials with me. Then Wendall admitted he did not have them. That was removed from the bill. Other than the oil leak they sent me home with from under torqued bolts on the oil cooler the quality of work is fine. After I challenged their bill, they would not accept my Schwab Bank Check. They called it an "out of State bank". They then required a wire transfer to release the aircraft. Wendall promised a review of the invoice and a report back to me. That was Nov 20, 2012. I am still waiting. He gives a very good first impression, and I continue to be surprised by his behavior.

B.WIER Was at KBKV last month on vacation and tied down at Brooksville Air Center. I cannot say enough about the nice treatment we received from Chris and Mike. I was only going to tie down outside for the two days we were in the area, but Mike offered a spot in their huge hangar for a total of $25 !!! Could not pass that up. That, the reasonable fuel price, friendly service, and the beautiful FBO building made the whole experience a real added plus to our vacation activities. Next vacation in the area, you bet, we will be visiting Chris and Mike again!!!

Stayed at Brooksville Air Center over spring break last week. Nice clean facility that is pretty much brand new. Rented a van through BAC. Mike met us as we taxied in, and parked us and brought the van up to the plane. Everyone was very nice and accomodating. Full service was 10 cents more than self serve fuel so we splurged. Mike had the airplane ready for us and parked in front of the building when we called with about an hour's notice. Since we bought fuel, they knocked off 2 night's worth of parking fees for a total of 5 nights at 10 bucks a pop. Kids, wife and in-laws were impressed with the whole deal. Free wi-fi, snacks, water and frisbees. Will stay there again next time as well. Located on the southwest side of the field, just south of the approach end of runway 9.

Brooksville Air Center is a very nice FBO with a great Staff and the best fuel prices on the field. Great people!
