Gene G 3/16/2012 I travel to back and forth from southern Florida to Philadelphia a number of times every winter. By far the best place I have stopped in many years. Wonderful welcome, the best fuel prices, new terminal building...on and on!

Landed in Barnwell from Lancaster, PA for quick fuel on my way to Kissimmee, FL. Great 17/35 runway. Cheap gas, great welcome. Terminal looks great. Self serve with credit card so fuel available 24/7

I stopped here on my way from CHS to PDK on a VFR flight because I was not sure what the giant thing resembling a cloud at 4,500 MSL was in front of me. The GPS showed the skies clear and nothing in the area. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who explained that they were burning at the Savannah River plant. How gross! The fuel was cheap and the FBO was nice. I landed on runway 23 as the winds favored it and it was an unplanned stop. I would never land on that runway again, there is grass growing through the cracks. 17/35 was a nice new blacktop.

Alan H. Jeske 3/31/2009 Barnwell, SC . . . Where is Barnwell? Best kept secret. My wife and I stopped for fuel on our recent trip south . . . Mostly due to the low fuel pricing. What a surprise. We found a quaint country airstrip with excellent amenities and laid back friendly folks. I decided we should stop again on our return flight home. Once more we were treated to hometown hospitality, which included a fine courtesy car, restaurant recommendations and overnight lodging suggestions. This is not the mega airport; however, in addition to all of the previous comments we found the southern country charm of our short overnight in Barnwell irresistible.
