06740666- I am sure george is a nice guy and helps out people all the time But he still acted like a fool that day and yes my sister has the last half of his cussing rant on a cell phone video so you can say what you like but it did happen. The grumpy comment about Buffalo area was kind of a joke as I said on a previous post. I still talk to alot of people up there and more than one was grumpy over the last bills loss! How many people were grumpy when stuck on the 90 for hours during the snow the other day? Get it now? Everyone can be grumpy from time to time just some more than others. Buffalo just gives you more opportunities to become grumpy unless you like a area with few jobs,rotting cars,no Stanley cup or superbowl. high taxes, Pot holes and LAKE EFFECT SNOW! LOL ! I am just say'in! But its also in fun too so don't take the grumpy joke to seriously. I went to Maryvale in cheektowaga during the blizzard of 77 so I am not just someone passing thru. Saying "NOBODY HERE IS GRUMPY" is a bold statement! Nobody would mean everybody is happy and chipper and everybody is a lot of people to be speaking for don't you think? Its kind of like the saying NEVER say NEVER because never is a long time. One last note and just my opinion on the airport. The local attention BQR has got from the FAA was not do to having their name pulled from a hat. There are reasons for everything correct?

Kingme-I found that it was a A&P named George that went off at my guests that day and not a owner of the airport. I was born and raised in buffalo and went to PS#9 on bailey near doat st. before moving to cheektowaga then joining the navy in 1983. The grumpy in buffalo comment was kind of just a joke based on the winter weather,lack of jobs and well the Bills this year. I have always had good visits to Lancaster in the past with the exception of digging my plane out of the snow like xmas 2001 but thats my fault for flying to buffalo in the winter. I am sure this George is a nice helpful person at this airport but his actions that day were uncalled for and way out of line. If it was just me that would be one thing but to drop the "f" bomb many times in front of woman (my mother, sister, wife, and a 12 year old girl) is well just plain wrong. Even with me being a former sailor I know better than that. This is also why I waited until I finished my flight home before even addressing this issue. Being wound up and out of control like he was has no place around aircraft and I was not going to lower myself to his level with my pending flight thru the DC. area at night. George needs to step back take some deep breaths and try to see what happened from other peoples eyes not just from his point of view. Everyone has a bad day now and then and I understand that but like I said he went way over the line. I know the truth about GA. and the good things it stands for but the only exposure my guests have to flying besides me is that airport and his actions. I now have to make them understand that people involved in planes and airports are not all A$$holes and it was a isolated incident and very uncommon.

Well My first 2 post were without all the facts as I was in the plane but now my sister sent me the video she recorded of the airport managers unprofessional actions. I can't post the video but can sum it up here. My son was rudely told to sit on the bench 25 feet from fuel pump which he did. Then with the airport manager walking away (about 30-40 feet away) my son said (TO MY MOTHER, HIS GRANDMOTHER) "I feel much safer now" He ( the airport manager) ran over screaming "GET THE FU@K OUT OF HERE RIGHT THE FU@K NOW" Then when my father inlaw said whats going on he said "YOU GET THE FU@K OUT TOO OR I AM CALLING THE COPS" Keep in mind the comment was made to my mother by my son about feeling safer not the airport dick. Also keep in mind my son is a Army MP just back from Jalalabad on mid deployment leave. I will post video on you tube after I check with the Lancaster dist. atty. to see if my mother can press charges for the very obnoxious and possible illegal actions he took around my son,mother,father inlaw and my sisters 12 year old daughter.

I think Lancaster airport has one of the most rude airport managers I have ever come in contact with. I was in town with my 23 year old son who is on leave from the war and going back to Jalalabad this week. As I was going to taxi to the fuel pump he was left to watch the bags when the airport manager thru him out for joking that it was not safe to stand by the fuel pump but to sit 20 feet away. All I can say is the way he spoke to him he is lucky my boy did not trive him into the ground like a tent stake!
