Stopped here in July and was treated like a VIP by Heritage and I was in an old Arrow. I will definitely be back.

7/10/11 - Heritage sets the standard for an FBO (helped by private company funding) but still great - stopped only for customs and gas - showed passports and got scan and free to go. Gas is expensive but...what else is new.

Flew from Montreal St. Hubert to BTV to clear customs. The Customs agent walked out, scanned my airplane with a handheld radiation detector, looked at my passoprt and aircraft registration and I was on my way. The whole thing took about 3 minutes. He was professional and friendly. A word about Montreal St. Hubert though. The tower controller I talked to on arrival spoke English with a heavy French accent so you have to listen very closely. Plus 98% of the other tower communications were in French so other than the traffic he points out to you in English, traffic awareness is mostly visual.

A really nice airport, especially for customs. CBP officer was really helpful, explaining to us how to get through customs easily for our next trip, giving forms for us to fill in advance, etc. The FBO was amazing. A really nice GA airport to go if you pass through Vermont.

We had the opposite with CBP. Polite Customs officer & she was helpful with explaining the necessaries for a non-USA passenger. Heritage was great & even arranged a brief help from an A&P who happened to be working that evening. Atlantic has also been very accommodating. An easy airport to use returning from Canada. Just caution for departing runway 19 at night, the Tower will help if you are unfamiliar.
