I flew our Cherokee Six into Daniel Field on Saturday, April 28. The spacious and resurfaced runways were a welcome sight, after our flight from Orlando. Unicom communications informed us where to park. The new terminal was spacious, welcoming, and spotless. The two female receptionists were helpful. The pilots lounge was very comfortable and several computers were available, as well as coffee and snack machines. Parking for two nights was $20, as one was free since we purchased fuel. Ramp service was friendly and professional. I look forward to parking at Daniel Field several times in the coming months.

A little "pricey". $20 for parking, $15 for ramp fee. Nothing fancy during renovation. Terminal in a trailer. Must have to pay for the new terminal. Doesn't help the weekend pilot though.

Daniel Field is undergoing some MUCH needed changes. For starters, the terminal building is under renovation and should be completed by August 2011. R/W 11/29 has been rejuvenated and all R/W markings have a fresh coat of paint. The rejuvenated surfaces are in excellent condition.

Thinking of landing at DNL for the 2011 Masters Tournament? You might want to think again. The terminal is currently closed (under construction.) The FBO is operating out of a trailer and the "pilot lounge" is a tent on the ramp. I was just there today; take my advice and land elsewhere.
