We flew our single engine Socata Tobago to DSM earlier this week, and used Elliot for our FBO. We could have not been more impressed with the service - from the time we arrived until we left! They made a hotel reservation at a substantial discount, arranged that the rental car be ready at their FBO, and were very accomodating at the desk. On arrival, they literally rolled out the red carpet, picked up our luggage from the plane, took it to the rental car waiting in the front of their FBO building (a beautiful place), loaded the luggage, and started the A/C to cool the car. Later in our stay, when the weather grew questionable, they towed our plane into storage (for which there was NO charges). When we were ready to leave, they fueled the plane, brought it out near the FBO building, and took our luggage to the plane. There was NO aircraft parking fee for the four days we were there. The comment earlier by another pilot is unfortunate. True, fuel costs are high..but this isn't much different than many other FBOs we fly into. I'd say that the superior service far outweighed the cost of fuel. We feel the excellent service far outweighs any costs of fuel. Thanks Elliott in Des Moines!
