I flew in there and departed on 8/5. Check your invoice. They charged me for 20 gallons more fuel than I took. They reversed the charges but never sent me a revised invoice or any notification that this had occurred until I called them. I called before I flew there and was told that they would give me a break on the overnight charge of $12. No such luck. Lesson learned, get the person's name who promises you discounts and double check your invoices. All of that aside, everyone there was very nice. Next time I'll fly to Destin which seems to be more GA friendly.

Drove down to drop off a friend at the airline terminal and visited with Sheltair. Very nice facility. Asked about just flying in next time to pick up my friend and was told there is a $35.00 charge unless I made a purchase, but crew cars are available to drop off or pick up passenger at airline terminal. Fee is waved and .50 discount on gas with top-off, but I didn't check to see what a top-off consisted of.

I found Sheltair to be very friendly and helpfull. Brought my rental car out to the plane and helped unload. The FBO is still under construction. $12.00 overnight tiedown. PFN VORTAC has been decomissioned.

Per telecons today with Sheltair and the airport admin office, there is no "landing fee," at least not now. Tiedown for a single-engine pistons is $12/night with none waived for buying gas, but there is 50 cents off per gallon for all "top-offs." I also found that car rentals are cheaper if picked up at the terminal rather than at Sheltair, but the FBO will provide a shuttle at no cost.

Make sure your GPS is up to date or at least input the Lat/Long for navigation to this airport. The FBO, Sheltair, was friendly and efficient. Phone ahead to confirm a tie-down space; it's limited.
