After a lackluster hangar experience back in January, I called ahead this July 4th and boy was I not disappointed. The crew met us under the canopy with the red carpet, cold water and rental car ready to go. Before I left the ramp they had pulled my Baron into the hangar. Today I refueled (Saturday) and got the 50 cent discount ... they treated me right on the overnight fees and really were impressive this trip! I'll go back !

I keep my SkyhawkXP at KEDC and have never regretted it. The staff is great,the amenities are second to none and the service is exemplary. I recommend this airport to everyone. From Cubs to Citations, all are welcome.

All of the above is true; BUT, I was assured 4 time that my A36 Bonanza would be hangered & it was not (twice over the phone, once via fax & by the lineman who told me my airplane was being put into the hanger right away). Because of these assurances, no cover was placed over my Bonanza (until 3/23/12 - 3/26/12 it had never spent a night unhangered) & no windscreen shade protected my avionics. I expect to pay to have my Bonanza hangered & don't expect something for nothing. I do expect people to do what they say they will do. Great runway, friendly staff, palatial facility for sure, but dishonesty renders it all moot.

My wife and I flew our Piper Cherokee into KEDC on 12/27/2011 while practicing instrument approaches. This is a great airport and FBO. The staff is extremely courteous, helpful and friendly, greeting our arrival with the red carpet ttreatment -- literally. Everything here is brand new (runway, FBO, etc.). In addition to the usual amenities, the FBO has sleeping quarters, showers, several new courtesy cars, and even a small theater (media room). Fuel prices are reasonable. Downtown Austin is about a 10-15 minute drive. This is a "must stop" location if you are anywhere in the area. It also a great destination if your goal is simply burning av gas and enjoying the skies.

I hanger my RV at EDC. they are always very helpful and professional; rushing out in the golf cart when i arrive to fly or return and offer assistance pulling the plane out or pushing it in, offering to bring a drink after a long flight, red carpet treatment under the big cover. The facilities are wonderful and the service incredible. Don't hesitate to make this a pit stop when traversing the area or your destination airport when coming to Austin.

Took my wife for her first ever flight with me to EDC [I`m a new pilot], she was amazed by the red carpet treatment - brilliant !! Very nice facility, the best airport I`ve ever been at, maybe better the LHR terminal 5 !!!!

Flew into EDC on a one day trip. Found the staff extreemly helpful and friendly. Facility is new and nice. Used one of their new Ford Taurus cars for a few hours. Fuel prices were very competitive. The line staff parked my plane under the huge awning right in front of the facility. Really nice "extra" especially considering I departed mid afternoon. My plane had been in the shade all day so it wasn't scorching in the hot sun. Highly recommend EDC to anyone traveling to Austin.

Had a meeting in Austin 0n 7-14 ,First time landing at EDC and was met on taxi way with a follow me car,and was taken right to the FBO door under a very large covered parking area. A very nice and help FBO employee named Bradly set me up with a cold drink and crew car (new one at that) and we were on are way in minutes.Meeting went a little long than planned so we grabbed a burger and filled the car up with gas and got back to the airport, plane fueled up (great price on LL100) Got my wx briefer and they pulled my plane up to the door turned it around and offered to cool it down the ramp A/C, They had me park there with a couple nice corp. jets and I was dressed in shorts and a t shirt and in a 172 skyhawk, given the first class treatment.I will be back, Great place, It is need to see place on your next trip to Austin,

Landed at EDC for a weekend in Austin. Very helpful staff pre-arrival, tracked our ETA online to have the cab exactly on time. "Follow-me" golf cart was waiting at the ramp entrance for our night arrival. They even rolled out the red carpet to the back step of our Mooney! Friendly people, good gas prices, and a big shaded area for loading/unloading right in front of the terminal. Great airport.

We recently had the pleasure of landing at the new EDC airport facility for Memorial day weekend and were treated like royalty. The fuel price was very competitive. The facility is modern. The staff there helped us unload, and with advance notice had a car ready, and running when we got there. Highly recommended.
